HYBE ke chairman Bang Si-Hyuk ke khilaaf South Korean police ne April 21, 2026 ko ek arrest warrant ki maang ki hai. Un par 'Capital Markets Act' ke ullanghan aur lagbhag 190 billion won ($129 million) ke illegal fayde kamane ka aarop hai.
π Bang Si-Hyuk Investigation: Kya hai pura mamla?
Yeh investigation HYBE ke 2020 IPO (Initial Public Offering) se judi hui hai:
- Investors ko misleading jaankari: Police ka kehna hai ki 2019 mein Bang ne early investors aur venture capital firms se jhooth bola ki HYBE (tab Big Hit Entertainment) ka IPO lane ka koi plan nahi hai.
- Sasti share selling: Is galat jaankari ki wajah se investors ne apne shares saste daam mein ek Private Equity Fund ko bech diye, jiska connection Bang ke doston aur associates se tha.
- Bhari munafa (Illicit Gains): IPO ke baad jab shares ki qeemat badhi, toh us fund ne shares bech kar bhari profit kamaya. Allegations hain ki ek 'side agreement' ke tahat Bang ne us profit ka 30% hissa apne paas rakha.
π¨ Current Status aur Impact
- Arrest Warrant Request: Seoul Metropolitan Police ne prosecutors se court warrant maanga hai taaki Bang ko custody mein liya ja sake.
- Travel Ban: Bang par August 2025 se hi desh chhodne par rok (travel ban) lagi hui hai. Haal hi mein U.S. Embassy ne is ban ko hatane ki request ki thi taaki woh BTS ke upcoming US tour events attend kar sakein, lekin ab arrest warrant se ye mushkil lag raha hai.
- Assets Frozen: Court ne pehle hi unke 156.8 billion won ki worth ke HYBE shares ko freeze kar diya hai.
- Defense: Bang ke lawyers ne arrest warrant par afsos jataya hai aur kaha hai ki unhone hamesha investigation mein sahyog (cooperation) kiya hai. Woh sabhi charges ko galat bata rahe hain.
